18 Consecutive Years of
Alumni Meets

After establishment of CWITIAN, it has successfully arranged 18 Alumni Meets in last 18 consecutive years that is 2009 to 2026.

All the meets were a grand success and each of those were attended by 1,000 to 1,500 pass-out students. It is not compulsory to be a member of CWITIAN or to pay any charge for attending the said meet.

Assistance in Teaching Learning Process

For the benefit of present students CWITIAN conducted programs like workshops on Entrepreneurship Development, Interview Techniques, Land Record Practices, Personality Development, Building Technology and Leadership Development etc.

Leadership Development Program (LDP)

Executed in academic year 2018 -19 and 2019 - 20 under this initiative was suggested and financially supported by alumnus Mr. Dattatray More (DME 1988).

Entrepreneurship Development Program

Financially sponsored by CWITIAN. Both LDPs & EDPs were planned and organized by Alumni & TPO Mrs. Deepa Bapat (PTD BE Civil 1999).

Scholarship Program

Vinod Jadhav Scholarship

With cooperation and approval from member alumni, CWITIAN from year FY 2009-2010 is offering every year non-refundable scholarships to needy and deserving current students of CWIT.

From year FY 2023-24 the ‘Diamond of CWITIAN’ awardee 2024, alumnus DME 1990 and philanthropistic industrialist Shri. Vinod Ramchandra Jadhav by MoU assured to donate to offer the scholarship of Rs. 10,000 per student to maximum 75 students. As per this MoU from year 2023-24 the said scholarship is named as “Vinod Jadhav Scholarship”.

Not offered in FY 2020-2021 due to the worldwide Corona epidemic.

Facility Development for CWIT

From the financial assistance from all the alumni, CWITIAN is contributing for CWIT towards face lift of Institute campus, laboratory development, facility addition etc.

The facility of central stage worth around Rs. 18 Lakhs is developed under this scheme of CWITIAN. The said stage is handed over to CWIT in 7th meet held on 11th Jan. 2015.

Conservation

Building Face Lift Project

CWITIAN has executed successfully in year 2015 -16 “Building Face Lift Project” for CWIT. The cost of said project is Rs. 1.45 Crores. Through this project CWITIAN has got painted internally & externally all buildings, renovated 7 toilet blocks for students & staff, replaced the roofing of main, electrical & workshop buildings, provided false ceiling at top floor of main building, beautified main building with roof cornice and so many other minor improvements are also done under this project which is impracticable to list here.
Late Mr. D. P. Mhaiskar, then Chairman and Managing Director of IRB and an eminent alumnus of first batch (1957–60) of Civil Engineering of CWIT had contributed toward both of the above said projects viz. ‘Central Stage’ and ‘Building Face Lift Project’ by donating an attractive sum.

Improvement in Civil Seminar Hall

Mrs. Deepa Moghe-Bapat and her 8 classmates – Sunil Avachat, Kaustubh Kale, Sadanand Oak, Rama Deshpande, Girish Balapurkar, Shailesh Agiwal, Sandesh Kanpile and Ganpule Shripad admitted for PTD BE Civil in 1993 has provided and got fixed 19 LED light fittings and 23 curtains along with essential fittings for 7 windows of 7’ x 5’ size all worth Rs. 25500/- in Civil Seminar Hall at top floor of CWIT main building.

Renovation of Electrification in Electrical Machines Lab

Mrs. Vaishali Karabale-Chavan and her classmates all Shri. Charudatta Patil, Girish Kahar, Tungatkar, Thatte, Mahesh Joshi and all Sau. Jyoti Bargal & Sau. Varsha from DEE 1988 batch, with part financial assistance of Rs. 3,00,000/- from CWITIAN for materials, has executed voluntarily the work of providing & fixing in position HT cables and panels in place of worn-out cables and old panels in Machines Laboratory of Electrical Engineering Department. Total worth of the activity (including labour) is Rs. Around Rs.4,50,000/-.

Provision of Electricity Measures for Electrical Machines Lab

Dinesh Sawant, Proprietor Aadesh Electrical and Co. Hadapsar, DEE 1994 & PTD BE Electrical 2000 donated in 2024-25 for ‘Electrical Machines Lab’ of Electrical Department ‘Automatic Electric (AE)’ make 6 numbers AC-DC Watt meters of rating 750-3000 watts & MRP Rs. 6230 each and 4 DC & 2 AC Ammeters of rating 1-20 Amperes with average MRP Rs. 3997 each. Cost of entire donation is about Rs. 61000/-

Provision of Computer Monitors for Civil Computer Lab

Girish Nangre, Dr. Prashant Pawar, Milind Mujumdar, Vijay Khandagale, Prasad Pathak, Manoj Panvelkar, Atul Bangal, Rajesh Khandekar, Sameer Shinde, Kaustubh Pingle, Ajay Joshi, Rahul Chivate, Nivrutti Kadam, Vikram Velankar, Santosh Kandekar, Subhash Chaudhari, Anil Sonavane, Ravindra Akolkar, Deepak Kinger, Pramod Anan, Pundalik Yadav, Amol Natu, Saurabh Hardikar, Mangesh Pulgam, Mallikarjun Rudagi, Harshal Mane, Anilkumar Mittal, Rajesh Suryavanshi, Ravindra Pathak, (All DME 1992). Damodar Chavan, Datta Kshirsagar, Ashwini Atre, (All DME 1984) & Vinod Jadhav (DME 1990) have contributed voluntarily in 2025-26 the sum of Rs. 10 Lakhs for 20 computers for development of 30 Computer CAD-CAM Lab for Mech. Engg. Deptt. of CWIT. Total cost of the project is about Rs. 20L. CWIT is contributing rest of Rs. 10 Lakhs towards rest of 10 computers, a 3D Printer, Networking, Electrification & Furniture. Project is planned to be inaugurated on 11th Jan. 2026 the day of 18th Meet.

Provision of Electronic Components for Electronics Deptt.

Mrs. Sujata Chaugule Hanje, DERE 1993 and promoter & owner of R. S. Technologies, Pune have donated in academic year 2024-25 few thousand electronic components worth few lakh Rupees to the Electronics Deptt. These components include different types of active & passive components, LEDs, LCDs, cables, connectors, seven segment displays, ICs, switches, SMDs, chords etc. These components will be used for practicals, student’s academic projects and repair & maintenance of laboratory instruments.

Our Highest Honor

Diamond of CWITIAN Award

From year 2014 CWITIAN had decided to felicitate an alumnus who have exhibited extraordinary achievements in the ‘Art’ or ‘Engineering and Society oriented Business or Research’ etc. and who can be kept forward as an idol for rest of CWITIANs with “Diamond of CWITIAN” award. The said award will be bestowed respectfully in the common alumni meet held on 2nd Sunday of January. The award will consist of a citation, a memento, a shawl and a shriphal (coconut). Up to the date following five CWITIANs are felicitated with this award.

Late Shri. Dattatrayaji Pandurang Mhaiskar alumnus of 1st batch of Civil Engineering and then Chairman and Managing Director of nationally and internationally renowned organization ‘Ideal Road Builder, Mumbai’ is conferred with 1st ‘Diamond of CWITIAN’ award in 6th Meet of CWITIANs held on 12th Jan. 2014.

The 2nd such award is conferred post humus in 7th Meet of CWITIANs held on 11th Jan. 2015 on Late Shri. Kantilalji Lakhamichandji Lunkad, alumnus of Mechanical Engineering (1964 – 67 batch), an eminent industrialist, baron in construction sector, founder of business group ‘Lunkad Realties’ and through whose initiative the scheme of ‘CWITIAN scholarship’ commenced.

The 3rd such award is conferred in 10th Meet of CWITIANs held on 14th Jan. 2018 on pioneer of ‘Manman Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd. Pune’, Shri. Madhukar Ganesh Gokhale, alumnus of Mechanical Draftsman Diploma Program (1957–59 batch), an eminent innovator and indigenous manufacturer of robotic kits for amateurs and affordable import alternative lifesaving electronic digital surgical instruments without compromising quality and performance.

The 4th such award is conferred in 12th Meet of CWITIANs held on 12th Jan. 2020 on disciple of ISCON Shri. Gaur Gopal Das alumnus of Electrical Engineering Diploma Program (1989–1992 batch), an eminent spiritual Guru well known in more than 53 countries for his motivational speeches.

The 5th such Award is conferred in 16th Meet of CWITIANs held on 14th Jan. 2024 on leader in pharmaceutical distribution & manufacture, first generation entrepreneur, Chairman of Sava Healthcare Ltd. alumnus of Mechanical Engineering Diploma Program (1987–1990 batch) and socially forward philanthropistic personality Shri. Vinod Ramchandra Jadhav.

Award history: 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021-23, and 2025 were non-conferral years. No award is planned for 2026.

Appreciation & Felicitation of High Achiever Alumni

From year 2024, it is decided to appreciate & felicitate in every year’s alumni meet as ‘High Achiever Alumni’ by offering certificate & bouquet to few alumni who have left different impression in engineering and society by overcoming all sorts of situations in fields like profession, research, art, sports, literature, environment conservation social work etc. and who can be seen as an Idol by other CWITIANs. This appreciation & felicitation will be conferred on the alumni selected by majority by the selection committee. We request the members of CWITIAN to suggest at least a month before the alumni meet, the name of alumni in your contact worth for this appreciation & felicitation. We will keep these nominations before selection committee. The decision of selection committee will be final.
