Remembering Late Mr. Mohan R. Anturkar (1965 – 2024) Vice President, CWITIAN (2008 - 2024)
We must remember the extraordinary life of Mohan Anturkar, a man of remarkable achievements, unwavering dedication, and an inspiring spirit. Born on August 4, 1965, Mohan was a humble, cheerful and friendly individual whose captivating smile and uplifting presence left an indelible impact. His ability to make others feel valued and his resilience in the face of challenges were extraordinary. Whether sharing a joke or offering wise counsel, his warmth brightened every room.
Mohan’s academic journey showcased his brilliance. Excelling at New English School, he earned a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from CWIT in 1983, Ranking 2nd in Maharashtra, and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from COEP in 1986, Ranking 5th at Pune University. Furthering his education, he added an MBA in Marketing, a Diploma in Works Management, and an Advanced Diploma in Computer Science. His intellectual legacy included authoring a book on system analysis, used as a reference text at Symbiosis.
Professionally, Mohan’s career was diverse and impactful. After starting at Philips and HYRIL, he managed a marketing agency for INDAL and served as a professor at MIT. In 1999, he founded M Square Engineers, a company that flourished under his leadership and set benchmarks in the cooling tower industry for 25 years. His exceptional work earned him the Most Inspiring Enterprise Award, along with accolades for his company such as India’s 5000 Best MSME Silver Award, the Business Excellence Award, and the Pune Brand Leadership Award in 2023. Mohan’s remarkable journey was also recognized with a cover feature in ‘Industry Outlook’ magazine.
Beyond his professional success, Mohan was defined by his heart, a mentor, friend, and pillar of strength. He inspired and uplifted everyone around him with his kindness, humility, and dedication to others. His legacy reminds us of the power of determination and generosity to achieve greatness and make a lasting difference.
